Department of Posts, West Bengal Circle, Kolkata has published a notification at official website www.westbengalpost.gov.in to fill 266 vacancies of Postman / Mail guard for the year 2017-18 in West Bengal Circle. Eligible Candidates with requisite qualifications can apply online starting from 25th October 2018 to 24th November 2018.

Scale of Pay : Level-03 of Pay Matrix, Rs. 21,700 – 36,100 along with other admissible allowances
Age Limit as on 24th November 2018: Between 18 to 27 years for Candidates of General Category (Unreserved). Upper age limit is relaxable to reserved categories (SC/ST/PwD, Ex-servicemen) as per Govt. rules.
Education Qualifications
i) Candidate should have passed 12th standard from a recognized Board.
ii) Candidate should have knowledge of local language of the concerned state or UT (For West Bengal - Bengali & Nepali, For Sikkim - Nepali, For A&N Islands - Hindi & Bengali) and should have studied local language at a least up to 10th standard.
iii) Candidate should have knowledge of working on computer.
iv) Candidate should possess a valid license of two wheeler/ light motor vehicle. Persons with disability may be exempted from the possession of license.
(ii) Candidate should know local language of the West Bengal/Andaman & Nicobar/Sikkim State. Applicant should have studied local language at least up to 10th standard.
Selection Process: For the selection of Postman / Mail guard, an Online Aptitude Test will be conducted. Aptitude Test will of the level of 10th class/ Matriculation.
Application/ Examination Fee : All applicants of all categories have to pay Application Form Registration cost of Rs. 100/- (plus Rs. 20/- for e payment commission) who want to apply for post. Male applicants of General and OBC categories also have to pay the Examination fee of Rs. 400/-. No Examination Fee fee charges for all women and applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC)/ Scheduled Tribes /Physically Impaired category. Fee can be pay through E-payment Post Office in Sikkim, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and West Bengal using fee payment challan. Last date to deposit fee is 08 October 2018.
How to Apply: Applicants can apply online through official websites of West Bengal Postal Circle www.westbengalpost.gov.in or http://cpmgwbrecruit.in/drpmmgoct18 and can apply online from 25th October 2018 to 24th November 2018. After successful online registration of Application, applicants may keep print out of the Application, copy of fee Chillan, Post Office receipt and Registration slip for any future reference.
